Our Vision is to Know Jesus and to Make Jesus Known
Our Mission is to Engage, Equip, Empower People to Hear, to Know, to GO!
God has called us to be a community of committed, life-giving relationships of friendship, nurture, grace, and accountability.
We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1,
Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, John 10:30).
We believe in the deity of Christ (John 10:33); His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:34-35); His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15, 7:26); His miracles (John 2:11); His vicarious and atoning death (I Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 2:9); His resurrection (John 11:25, I Corinthians 15:4); His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19); His personal return to earth in power and glory (Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11-16).
There is one God, eternally existent in three persons- the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, being equal (Phil. 2:6). God the Father: the Source of the Word (Logos) and the Begetter (John 14:28; John 1:14). God the Son is the Word made flesh, the One Begotten, and has existed with the Father from the beginning (John 1:1; John 1:18; John 1:14). God the Holy Spirit proceeds forth from the Father and is eternal (John 15:26). In Jesus all the fullness of the godhead lives in bodily form (Col. 2:9).
We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of the human nature, and that all are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ, and that only by God's grace through faith alone are we saved (John 3:16-19; 5:24, Romans 3:23; 5:8-9, Ephesians 2:8-10, Titus 3:5).
Jesus lived a perfect, righteous life, thus fulfilling all the law. (Matthew 5:17-18, Hebrews 4:15, 2 Corinthians 5:2, John 14:30). Jesus was crucified for our sins, buried and was raised from the dead on the third day. (1 Corinthians 15:3, 4) Because of His righteous sacrifice, God raised Him from the dead. (John 16:7-11)
Salvation is by faith alone, but it isn’t a faith that is alone. Faith must be accompanied by works or it is a dead faith. If a belief is truly held, it will be acted upon. (James 2:14-16; Ephesians 2:8-10; Matt. 7:24-27; Matt. 5:16; II Cor. 5:10; Mat. 16:27; Rev. 2:23; Rev. 22:12)
The “church” is not a building, but a group of believers called out to worship God through praise, song, discipling, ministering to fellow believers, witnessing and good works that shine the light of God throughout the world.(Acts 2:42-47, Matthew 28:18, 19, Matthew 5:16)
We believe in the spiritual unity of the believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9, I Corinthians 12:12-13, Galatians 3:26-28; Deuteronomyv4:6,7).
We believe it is the mandate of the whole Church to go into the whole world and to preach the Gospel to every living creature. (Mark 16:15, Matthew 28:19-20)
We believe that we as Christians are examples of the love of God in this world. It is this (agape) love that we desire to possess and without which we have no right to call ourselves Christians (1 John 4:16-17, 1Peter 1:3).
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those who are saved unto the resurrection of life, and those who are not unto the resurrection of damnation (John 5:28-29). Those who are saved will be caught up with Christ at His coming. Those who are resurrected will return with Christ to rule and reign on the earth. 1 Thessalonians 3: 13, 4:19; Jude 1:14, Revelation 19:11-16)

Originally known as Hopewell Mennonite Church, the congregation began as a small Bible study led by Ken Kirk. As the group grew, a new permanent place of worship was needed. Pastor Ken prayed and the Lord gave him a vision of a stream of water and a tree inside a building. Meanwhile, a struggling church put an unfinished sanctuary up for sale after abandoning its building campaign. A stream flowed through the front of the sanctuary, with a tree growing in its center!
The small congregation faced competition from a millionaire developer with plans to turn the building into a health spa. With only faith and prayer, Pastor Ken and several members appeared before a judge to plead their case. God intervened when the developer unexpectedly passed away the night before the hearing. The judge awarded the building at 1130 Commerce Drive to Hopewell Mennonite Church. Today, the congregation is known as Restored Church and is pastored by Bruce Mulberry, affectionately called PBAM.
Restored Church is part of a global network of leaders and churches known as The Hopewell Network of Churches http://hopewellnetwork.org a fellowship of churches and leaders empowered by the Holy Spirit to locally and globally advance Christ’s Kingdom together. The Hopewell Network provides spiritual covering and accountability as well as monthly meetings that encourage and provide support to its members.
